The Town of Cicero Senior Center, otherwise known as the “Young At Heart” Community Center, offers an abundance of activities which include social events, trips, exercise classes, bingo, lunches, chorus group and much more!

Qualifications
If you are 55 years of age or older and enjoy meeting friendly people who like to have a good time, you qualify!

Membership
Membership is free to all residents of the Town of Cicero. Non-Residents are charged a yearly membership fee. This fee includes a subscription to the center's newsletter. Call for fee information.

Newsletter
The newsletter is published six times a year and is filled with special events, programs and information pertinent to our senior population. If you would like to receive the newsletter, please contact the center 452-3298.

PEACE Luncheon (People's Equal Action and Community Effort, Inc.)
Every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, you are offered a well balanced hot meal for a suggested donation of $2.50. Pre-registration is necessary, space is limited. Meals are offered during the lunch and dinner hours. Please call for more information.

Young at Heart in Motion
Our award winning fitness program which includes walking, stretching and weight training is held 3 times a week. It is geared towards all levels of participation, including some chair exercises. Class is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 until 10:00 am. There is a $20 fee for the 10 week course.

Senior Transportation
Need a ride to the Center? Then call the Cicero Express! Any senior without means of transportation will have an opportunity to come to the center on Mondays on Fridays for a nominal fee. Call the Center for a schedule of dates and times and fee information.

Health and Wellness
Blood pressure screenings are offered monthly. The Flu Clinic is offered annually, depending on availability, plus information on health concerns are offered monthly.

Steering Committee
The Steering Committee meets monthly to keep our Center running smoothly. If you have any ideas, suggestions or concerns, why not attend our next meeting? They meet the third Tuesday each month at 10:00 am.

Cards
Do you like to play cards? We meet regularly to play pitch, bunco and bridge. Call the Center for specific days and times.

Bingo
Come join your friends for a fun game of Bingo. Bingo is held on Fridays at 1:00 pm. Cards are fifty cents each and you can purchase up to four cards. Come in and have fun! Everyone is welcome.

Book Club
The book for the our February meeting is one we have all been eagerly waiting to read and discuss, which is the novel, The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown. We all thought the cold winter month of January would be good timing to curl up with this much talked about book. Please feel free to join us on February 14th at 4:00 pm!

Red Hat Society
Our Red Hat Society is in full swing. Our meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month at 1:30 pm.

Bocce Courts
Two new Bocce Courts were built by local Eagle Scout (Keith Holmes, of Troop 117). If you like to play Bocce, call the center for times.
