PARKS AND RECREATION: JOB OPPORTUNITIES
Applications will be accepted from Cicero residents and non-residents in January each year. Interviews will begin in March. Cicero residents will be given priority for positions. Non-residents will be hired after all qualified residents are hired.

SUMMER PLAYGROUND PROGRAM
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age. The Summer Playground Program is a six week program which takes place Monday - Friday 8:30 am until 2:30 pm. Summer playgrounds run from early July through mid August. It is for youth ages 5, who have completed kindergarten, through 12. The preschool playground program for children ages 3-5 (who have not completed kindergarten) is held Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, with staff hours from 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Both playground programs run from early July through mid-August. We equip our playground sites with staff who provide plenty of recreational fun within a safe atmosphere. Counselors work between 20 and 40 hours a week, depending on position, for the duration of the six week program. Attendant positions, Leader positions and Site Supervisor positions are available.

LIFEGUARDS
Lifeguard positions are available for William Park Beach, located on Lakeshore Road in Cicero. William Park Beach opens Memorial Day and closes late August. Interested individuals must have Lifeguard Training, Waterfront Module, First Aid, CPR and AED certifications. Lifeguards work between 25 and 35 hours per week. For lifeguard class information, contact your local YMCA or the American Red Cross at 234-2200.

SUMMER MAINTENANCE WORKERS
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age. The summer maintenance positions begin late May and continue through mid August. Maintenance individuals work between 30 and 40 hours per week. The position includes mowing parks, dragging and lining ball fields, along with other numerous outdoor duties.
