OFFICE |

The
Comptroller’s Office is responsible
for all human resource issues, including payrolls, employee
benefits, deferred compensation, flex plans,
worker’s compensation and employee policies.
The Office of the Comptroller is also responsible
for all Town finances, including budgeting.
The Town has 25 Abstracts (warrants of disbursements)
throughout the year. Every abstract must be
approved by the Town Board, upon approval
all disbursements can be issued and recorded.
Throughout this process, we must keep within
budgeted approval and keep Department Heads
abreast of their account (s) status. |

majority of positions in the town are of Civil Service
classification and we are then required to hire
from Civil Service listing. However, on occasion,
the Civil Service listing cannot provide employees
and at that time, we appoint provisionally until
a test can be given.
